Turkey has more Greek and Roman theaters than any other country in the world. Some of them, with superb acoustics, are so well preserved that they are still used for concerts today. (Imagine watching a musical performance in the 2,000+ year-old Grand Theater in Ephesus!) This is an ideal tour for actors, directors, playrights, history buffs, and for all people who love the theater. You might be able to briefly try performing at some of these theaters, just for fun, as if you were living in ancient times. If scheduled to coincide with “Istanbul Festival”, you will also have an opportunity to attend rare performances such as Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio,” performed at the ‘Seraglio’ (derived from the Turkish word Saray, meaning Palace) – which is in Topkapi Palace!
